Hector Chapa

Hector Chapa, M.D. is a nationally and internationally recognized speaker and published author in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is a Board Certified ObGyn and currently is Clinical Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Texas A&M University College of Medicine. He also serves Texas as a medical officer in the Texas State Guard Medical Battalion. 

At the age of 13, the death of his father triggered a cascade of personal and family turmoil. Dr. Chapa has zeal for sharing his story and lessons learned on overcoming life’s challenges as an encouragement for others. He has been an invited speaker in 13 countries. In 2019, he received the Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanism faculty award for his unique teaching style, dedication, and passion for medical education and professional development. 

Dr. Chapa has been married to his wife, Lisa, for 20 years; they have 3 children.
