Ana Sophia Avendano
Ana Sophia Avendano is a student at Texas A&M University, pursuing a B.S. in Agribusiness and a B.A. in Political Science, class of 2027. She is passionate about analyzing patterns in international politics and legal manners. She also plans to attend law school after graduation. Ana Sophia is actively involved on campus, serving as a member of the Texas A&M Mock Trial team, Aggie Minority Women in Law, and Social Chair of TAMU Moot Court. She is also a university tour guide, sharing her enthusiasm for Texas A&M with prospective students and families.
In addition to her academic and extracurricular pursuits, Ana Sophia has a deep passion for public speaking, poetry, and motivating others. She was a Texas state finalist in the Poetry Out Loud competition, a national project of the National Endowment for the Arts and the Poetry Foundation. In the future, she aims to write motivational self-help books for young adults. Ana Sophia’s entrepreneurial spirit began in high school when she sold knitted accessories, sparking her belief that anything is possible with determination.
In her free time, Ana Sophia enjoys playing the piano, reading literary fiction, and spending time with family and friends. Her optimistic attitude, shaped by the support of mentors and family, fuels her passion for inspiring others to live positively.
